First Presbyterian Funds Helping Others!
The Bicentennial Committee has distributed an additional $16,002 from the Bicentennial Fund. A one-time contribution of $2,286 has been sent to agencies that First Presbyterian supports on an annual basis: The Athens County Food Pantry, Good Works, Appalachian Peace and Justice Network, Habitat for Humanity, Planned Parenthood, National Alliance on Mental Illness and The Gathering Place. There will be many opportunities for the agencies to use these funds to benefit clients in need during the upcoming holiday season. This distribution of funds continues to honor the "Legacy of Service" provided by members of First Presbyterian Church.
