June 10 - Outdoor Worship Service and Picnic

10:30 - The Annual Outdoor service and All-Church Potluck Picnic will 
be held Sunday, May 10 at Strouds Run State Park. Those attending are 
asked to bring a dish to share, their own table service and lawn chairs.
Drinks, cold cuts, cheeses, bread and buns will be provided.

Janice Robison will play an organ recital at 11:45 AM, 

Sunday, May 27 at Athens First Presbyterian Church.  

The program will be music in commemoration of Memorial 

Day. All are invited to attend.

"Bach Around the Block"-Celebrating J.S. Bach's Birthday, March 18

"Bach Around the Block" is a progressive concert of all Bach music in celebration of his birthdate.  The event will begin at 3:00 at First Presbyterian Church, continue at Galbreath Chapel at 3:30, and conclude at Good Shepherd Episcopal at 4:00.  The 20 minute programs will consist of organ music as well as other instruments and vocal music.  The program at First Presbyterian will include trumpets and marimba.  All are welcome free of charge.

The 10:30 worship service at Athens First Presbyterian Church
on December 10 will feature Special advent music by the children's chime choir,
the Chancel Choir,  the Handbell choir, and organ. All are welcome!

Janice Robison will play an organ recital at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 19th at 11:45. The program will be music for Thanksgiving and Advent. All are invited. 

September 17 - Organ Recital of Music of the British Isles

Janice Robison will play an organ recital at 11:45 AM, on Sunday, September 17th, following the Worship Service at First Presbyterian Church. The program will be music of the British Isles, not church music, but pieces based on folk tunes of Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and the more ceremonial music of England, as well as some British musical humor. All are invited.

American Guild of Organist February Fest - Feb. 26

February 26, the AGO is sponsoring a February Fest. This program will focus 

partly on the hymn tradition of the participating churches.  It will start at 

First Presbyterian Church at 3:00, proceed to St. Paul Catholic at 3:30, and 

end at Christ Lutheran at  4:00.  At each location will be a 20 minute program 

of organ music , hymn singing and some choir participation.  Refreshments will

follow at Christ Lutheran.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Christmas Organ Recital  by Janice Robison followed by a Service of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m.

Christmas Day – Christmas Worship Service with Communion will be held at 10:30 a.m.
